Manitoba Possible’s immersive week-long ASL program is open to anyone in the community wanting to learn or advance their ASL. Through a mix of classroom instruction and workshops taught by Deaf instructors, you’ll gain signing skills and a deeper understanding of Deaf culture.

Cost is $315 ($385 if opting in to the lunch program). Please complete the registration and payment link below.

If you are also registering for the optional lunch program, please complete the second registration as well.

Registration closes June 19.

Once your registration is received, a confirmation email will be sent along with a receipt. Please allow a few business days to receive this confirmation.

Beginner 1

know zero signs or have not taken a full ASL course

Beginner 2

taken Beginner 1 or know over 100 signs

Intermediate 1

40-80 hours of ASL course taken; 101 or 102

Intermediate 2

120-160 hours of ASL course taken; ASL 103 or 201

Intermediate 3

200-240 hours of ASL course taken; 202 or 203

Fun and Sign Day Camp

Fun and Sign is a day camp open to children 5 to 12 years old whose parent or caregiver is attending the ASL Immersion program. While parents and caregivers are in class, kids can enjoy a range of exciting activities designed to foster self-confidence and language development through play.

Cost is $230 per child. Space is limited and priority will be given to children who need or use ASL (Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing) and their siblings.

  • Classes run 9 AM - 3:30 PM (3:00 Friday)

    Our diverse range of in-class lessons vary greatly depending on the level. At the end of each day, we offer workshops where you can select sessions based on your skill level and interests.

    Please note, we may have to cancel specific levels if there are insufficient numbers registered. If a class level is cancelled, you will be notified and fully reimbursed.

  • You have until June 14 to receive a full refund less a $50 administration fee.

    After June 14, you will not receive a refund.

  • Monday

    spaghetti with meat sauce (Ground Beef or Ground Veggie), caesar salad, pudding

    Tuesday

    sub sandwich bar, potato chips, watermelon, cookies

    Wednesday

    Pizza (free for all participants)

    Thursday

    taco salad, ground beef or ground veggie with toppings, cake

    Friday

    chicken burger or veggie burger, veggies with dip, potato chips, ice cream sandwiches

  • No tests, everyone passes!

    ASL Immersion is a place to learn sign and get to know Deaf people and their culture in a fun and inclusive way.

  • Individuals 13 years of age and older may attend. All youth under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult who is also attending ASL Immersion.

    Youth who have aides or workers in their regular school programs will also need an aide/worker to attend the Immersion classes (free for aide/worker).
